Okay, thanks to this article, the treo might just be syncing properly…

I deleted all the windows sync settings from the treo, and have paired the computer and the treo once again.

If this works, I might just call it a night. It’s only been 4 hours. All right, 3 and a half at this point (I arrived here at about 6.30pm).

Well, it kind-of works. There’s still more contacts on the Palm than on the PC.

The addressbook seems to have synced properly though, so that’s nice.

Screw it. It’s after 10pm. I’m going home.

HeyZeus H. Christo!

Australia Day is a big thing here where I work.

This morning there were girls (blonde Gen Y’s of course) wandering around draped in the Great Austraaaaalian flag.

This afternoon, we have buff blokes (Short-haired, potentially gay {not that there’s anything wrong with that, but it’s the only way I could imagine they’d found the shorts they were wearing} , with stomach muscles like the side of security-vans) dressed in tiny, tiny shorts, pushing an esky around filled with Paddle Pops.

The theme here is Australian Beach. The location, my work. The astonishment factor: high.

Jaw-dropping.

Brazilians for 10 year olds.

Has the world gone completely freaking bonkers and didn’t invite me along to the party? What sick arsehole came up with this idea?!

Morons.

Who’s afraid of the netthe age online.

Is there some way that these idiot politicians can be helped to understand how the internet actually works?

I mean, honestly, statements like “Labor believes that all Australian families are entitled to a clean internet feed…” just make them sound like raving bureaucrats interested in pandering to a population with fearmongering tactics that they hope will keep them in power. Anyone that actually has an inkling of how the web works knows that this sort of thing is simply impossible.

If Labour believes that they can sanitise the web, then I’ve got a honking great bridge to sell them, cheap.

Riddle me this: Why won’t the Windows XP search find and display a file that exists on the system?

Try searching for *.pst and you might come across the same issue that I did.

For those out there that don’t know what a “Pst” file is – and are perhaps wondering if it’s something to do with drinking – I shall explain: it’s a file which is used to store all the email from Outlook.

You’re kidding.

Can’t download updates

I’m sorry, but this is the silliest thing I’ve ever seen. You HAVE to be using MS Internet Exploder in order to download a windows update?!

Why?

What’s the point?

I just don’t understand why a particular browser should be required in order to download a windows service pack. Who cares which browser the user is using?!

No, sorry, this is Microsoft. Forget I spoke.
